A Funny Conversation:

John David and I (Megan) were at a mowing job yesterday and once we finished, we were waiting for Dad to pick us up. I'm going to be working for Mr. Shreve this summer, for a while, so we were talking about that, and here's the conversation:

Megan: "So, Mr. Shreve, that I'm gonna work for, is he the syrup guy?"

John: "No, it's his brother."

M: "Oh. he has a brother?"

J: "Yup."

M: "Oh. Well, where does he live?"

J: "Well, you could probably bike there, actually."

M: "Really? Ok, so, tell me how to get there."

J: "Well, you start at our house and you go uphill."

M: "Right."

J: "You keep going straight, past potter road."

M: "The Fairlambs road, right."

J: "No, not the Fairlambs road."

M: "Um, that's potter road."

J: "There's two potter roads."

M: "There is?"

J: "Yes, one on the right, one on the left."

M: "So, which one do I go past?"

J: "Both of them!!! So, you go past both potter roads."

M: "OH, the one on the right is the one that goes by Mrs. Green's house, that road?"

J: "YES!!!"

M: "Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...."

J: "You just keep going straight, 'till you get to that road by Mrs. Ziehm's house."

M: "Um, who is Mrs. Ziehm?"

J: "You have got to be kidding me."

M: "Oh, wait...is that the lady dad worked for?"

J: "YES."

M: "Oh, yeah, ok, I remember that house. So, what next?"

J: "You turn right."

M: "By Mrs. Ziehms?"

J: "Yes."

M: "Okay."

J: "You keep going straight, until you get to the big road."

M: "The main road?"

J: "Yeah."

M: "Ok, yeah, the one right across from the road commission place?"

J: "NO!!! Oh my goodness!"

M: "Um, Ok, I'm trying to remember.."

J: "OK, you know where Ziehms bottled gas is?"

M: "Yeah...hey! Is it by that old gas station?"

J: "Yes!"

M: "Didn't Uncle Bryan work there?"

J: "It doesn't matter! Do you know where the gas station is?!?"

M: "Yes."

J: "Ok, the road that runs by that."

M: "Ohhhh, Mr. Circle's road?"

J: "No! You just go down.....Oh, never mind. Yes!"

M: "Okay."

J: "You cross that main road and keep going straight."

M: "Mr. Circle's road."

J: "Whatever, Yes."

M: "Okay. so I go straight."

J: "Yes. You're gonna go past this water plant thingy, it'll look like a small lake."

M: "Oh yeah, I know where that is."

J: "Right."

M: "So, do I just keep going straight, past that house we saw James working at?"

J: "THATS THE SAME STINKIN' HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
